Galway Guide

With a population of just 80,000 people, the city of Galway is a cosmopolitan city with a thriving commercial and cultural community. Galway enjoys clean air & safe sandy beaches with 6 Blue Flags having been awarded to Galway in 2010. Silverstrand and Salthill are the two nearest the city and are just a 15 minute drive from Gort na Coiribe. Buses run to both beaches from Eyre Square, a 15 minute walk away. A getaway to Connemara and the Aran Islands offers breathtaking mountain & lake scenery as well as rugged cliffs and a real taste of Ireland.  There really is nowhere quite like Galway City and County in any part of these islands.
